Travel just like the pioneers that
crossed this country in covered wagons! Camping Tour attracts
travelers looking for adventure and fun. |

Guaranteed departures
Camping Tour guarantees the
departure of every one of the treks in the Italy regardless
of the number of participants. There is no need to worry about a trek
being cancelled, ruining your vacation plans. |

Small groups
Traveling in small groups of no
more than 25 people gives you lots of freedom much like you would
have if you were traveling with friends. In fact, on a Camping Tour
trip, you will be traveling with friends.
A large percentage of our travelers come as singles to us. The
friendships you make with your fellow Camping Tour are the kind
that could last a lifetime. Besides the companionship, traveling in a
group offers more security than traveling on your own. |

Our experienced trekleaders
The trek leaders driving our
Camping Tour Bus are carefully selected, trained and certified. We
operate a professional trek leader school. These people are not tour
guides in the common sense. They are adventure travel specialists and
are there to organize your tour and to help you with questions or
problems you may have (e.g. how to put up a tent, how to book
activities, etc.). |

Camping equipment
Our camping trip participants use
our proven quality camping equipment specially manufactured to
Camping Tour's high standards. We provide modern, spacious two-person
tents with insulation mats, cooking equipment, dishes, lamps, coolers,
food storage boxes, a water container and, last but not least, a sun
and rain roof. At the end of the trek you return the camping equipment
clean and complete. |

Our custom maxi-wagons
Camping Tour operates a large fleet
of specially equipped luxury Bus. We spare no expense with our custom
Camping Tour Bus. Each Bus is specially modified and reinforced,
enabling them to meet the specific demands of this type of travel.
They are equipped with powerful 5.4-6.8 liter V8/V10 engines and have
automatic transmissions, stereo cassette or CD sound systems, tinted
windows, plush cloth cushioned seats, carpeted interior and air
conditioning (limited use only). Our drivers check the vehicles daily
according to a check list. The Buss are regularly serviced in our own
maintenance facility and continuously checked and serviced by a well
established network of maintenance and service facilities throughout
the continent. This adds up to the best preventative maintenance
program, but technical problems are not always avoidable. |

Our flexible intineraries
Weve allowed plenty of room for
freedom and flexibility into our trips. In fact, flexibility is one of
the ingredients that makes each of our trips so exciting. However, we
do everything possible to avoid the kind of surprises that you might
encounter if you travelled on your own. Surprises like not having
place to sleep at your destination or wasting your time driving
forever trying to find an attraction. |

Travel route
We are unconventional and our tour
is well programmed, but not down to the smallest detail. At any time
it is possible to stay longer at a beautiful place or choose a
different route. Moreover, we always allow ourselves time to
spontaneously join in on any festivities, watch a rodeo or try out our
skills at rollerskating on the beach course at Santa Barbara. This
means that everybody really does have a say in what we do, which makes
our way of traveling so interesting. But be aware that we travel
through large countries and we have to spend some time drivin
Baggage |
All baggage is transported on the
Bus's roof rack. We advise you to bring tough bags because small
scratches and minor damage can occur. All you have to bring with you
is a warm sleeping bag and
personal belongings (don't forget warm clothes for cold nights and bad
weather) but please dont
bring too much! Luggage limit for our tours: 1 medium sized suitcase/
backpack, 1 sleeping bag and 1 piece of hand luggage (max. weight
limit: 20 kg). |

ACCOMMODATION |
Overnight camping
accomodation
Two people share one roomy tent. We
always spend the nights at selected campsites (except
hotel nights). If possible, we camp in or near national parks, by
lakes or by the sea. Even if you have never been camping before, you
will definitely like our comfortable tents. Campsites in Italy are
typically set up on large grounds and are well equipped. Most of the
times, you will not only find toilets and showers (sometimes a charge),
but often laundry and shopping facilities as well. Some of them even
have a swimming pool! |
Hotel accommodation
On many treks you will spend one or
more nights in selected tourist class hotels, many of which are
equipped with TV, air-conditioning, telephone and sometimes a pool and
recreational facilities. These hotel nights are included in the trek
price (based on double occupancy) and they are specially marked with a
in the travel program. On trek combinations
featured in this catalog any extra hotel/hostel nights in between
treks are also included in the trek price. The selected hotels/hostels
in each city may be located in the center, near the airport or outside
of the city. |
Additional hotel
accommodation before or after the tour
Additional accommodation (single or
sharing) in our selected hotels must be reserved and
paid for with the trek booking. You will get a voucher as confirmation.
The sharing option
can only be booked on Saturdays (subject to availability).
Reservations cannot be changed.

Climate
Big differences in temperature
between day and night during parts of your trek may occur depending
on the time of year and region you choose for traveling. Weather
conditions may eventually result in itinerary changes. A wider
selection of temperature details are given in our predeparture
information which you will receive with your travel documents. Please
ask your travel agency for further information. |

Trek/start meeting point
On the first day of the travel
program you will typically meet your trek leader and fellowtravellers
at 8:00 am (departure time may vary at some locations, all tours start
at 10:00 am) at our selected departure/arrival hotel or meeting point
and start your exciting trek. We recommend that you book an additional
hotel accommodation for Saturday night prior to your trek's departure
to ensure being on time for your trek's departure. Please see our
"Welcome Meeting and Hotel Information" for further details or visit
our website. |

End of trek/Drop-off point
Shopping and sightseeing in the
departure city is on the agenda on the last day of the travel program.
The trek leader will drop you off at our selected departure/arrival
hotel (drop off time varies depending on the trek). To ensure that you
have enough time for airport transfers and checkin procedures at the
airport, the earliest recommended flight time for return flights on
this last day is 4.00 pm in the afternoon. |

Extra costs
Meals, optional activities, flights,
transfers and personal expenses are not covered in the trek price. |

Insurance
You take full responsibility for
insurance matters. For this kind of travel you must have special
insurance against accidents, sickness, emergency return trip expenses,
cancellation fees and insurance for lost or damaged luggage. It is a
condition of booking that all travellers take out sufficient insurance
for the above risks. |

Meals
We usually cook our evening meals
together on our own stove, or we barbecue our food over the camp fire.
We keep our food costs as low as possible by sharing the expenses.
Each participant who wishes to contribute needs about Euro 50
per week. Breakfasts and evening meals are paid from this money. We
buy our food in local supermarkets and share the cooking
responsibilities in a rotating system. The food kitty does not operate
on Lodging Tours (except for cabin/hostel nights in Italy). Of course
we might also eat in restaurants where available. Minors (under 21
years) are by law not allowed to consume alcohol in Italy. |

Specials hints
We travel in large countries
offering you wonderful opportunities for adventure. Since you would
like to experience as much as you can in the time you have available,
it is best to prepare yourself for considerable driving between some
of these highlights. There is a considerable choice of attractions in
the daily travel program. We recommend that you restrict them to one
or two per day. Adventure travel offers us some unexpected surprises
at times, for example, bad weather and road conditions, technical
defects of transportation, inconveniences caused by local operators
and authorities, and other circumstances beyond our control. Changes
in the program may be required to make the best
of the unique situations that we encounter. Your spirit of adventure
and flexibility will help make your adventure trip an exciting and
unforgettable experience! |
