The 3-star Al Sole Hotel is a real gem, located in the heart of one of
the oldest parts of Venice. Housed in a truly marvellous 15th century
Palazzo, the Al Sole was once the residence of the dynastic Marcello
family, who still own and run the hotel to this day. Facing the
Tolentini Canal, the hotel is situated in a quiet, yet central, part of
this surreal and totally captivating city, and is only a few minutes
walk to the Vaparetto waterbus stop (opposite the main railway station).
Guest rooms are simply furnished but all include private shower or
bathroom, air conditioning, television, safe and minibar. The vast
majority of rooms overlook either the Tolentini Canal or the inner
courtyard garden, which in summer becomes a cool haven of calm.
