When is a 2 star hotel not a 2 star hotel? When it is the Nuova Italia !
Though officially classified as such, the Viti family offer much more
than even a higher class hotel. Mrs Viti is a native English speaker and
is a one-woman tourist office offering free help and information to all
guests. While the hotel itself looks brand new having been recently
renovated, the building is 17th century and is centrally located near
the renaissance church of San Lorenzo and the Medici Chapels. Rooms are
high standard with private bathrooms, direct dial telephones, satellite
TV, air conditioning and airport windows, in other words, highly sound
proofed. There is no lift but ground floor rooms are available.The Hotel
Nuova Italia is the best example of a home-away-from-home hotel.
